Our boiler clanked and clunked for a few days and then died. It’s currently minus many degrees right now (depending on the app and whether you go with actual or “real feel” temps). Bottom line: we won’t have heat or hot water for several days—until the plumber can order and install a new boiler. In the meantime, we have a wood fire and two electrical units warming the house. Our 13-year-old son decided to bake blueberry lemon scones. He was undaunted by the 50-degree temperature inside our house, and figured it was time to turn on the oven and warm our bellies with yummy food.
P.S. The “real feel” temp is currently -11 degrees.
